About Make it Write

Welcome to Make it Write, where the pulse of Liverpool's creative heart beats with the rhythm of new stories waiting to be told. Make it write is a community interest company and collective of artists aiming to improve opportunities for new writing and fringe performance in Liverpool and the north west.

At Make it Write, we believe that everyone has a story to share and a role to play. Were not just about putting on shows; we’re about building the artists behind them. From directing to playwriting, from acting to stage management, we offer workshops that don’t just end with applause but begin with collaboration.

 

 

 

Our collective is as diverse as the community we serve. We relish in partnering with other theatre groups, online creatives, and film producers to not just push boundaries, but to erase them altogether. We’re about writing the next act, not just re-reading the old.

Our Mission

We strive to make writing and performance opportunities available to everyone, with a special focus on amplifying the voices that often go unheard in the creative sector. Through partnerships, funding, and sheer determination, we work to ensure that the stage is as diverse as the society it reflects. Scripting success, scene by scene

Join us for our Thursday drop-ins from 19.00 till 21.00 via Zoom. At these meetings we:

  • BRING IN SPEAKERS TO PROVIDE INSIGHT INTO OPPORTUNITIES
  • DO PEER REVIEWS OF WRITTEN WORK IN PROGRESS READ BY ACTORS
  • SOCIALISE AND COLLABORATE.

A space to write, get support with problem projects or help with submissions. Our aim is to increase the opportunity for new writing for performance and raise the standard of fringe theatre in Liverpool. In our endeavours, we also help local actors.

Our group for directors, producers, crew and facilitators. Created to provide support, training, mentoring and a place where people can find a pool of directors willing to read new writing scripts. You can also advertise your workshops and dramaturgy.
